    Description

    Abraham Joshua Heschel High School is seeking a part time Music teacher, 9-12th grade, beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. Responsibilities will include teaching a range of music classes for students in grades 9-12, including Music Appreciation instruction and formation and direction of a mixed instrumental ensemble. Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree and background in classical or jazz music, ensemble leadership, and basic music technology platforms. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching high school students of all musical levels and abilities in a student centered instruction style. The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum and lesson plan design, an appreciation of a range of musical styles, enjoy collaboration with colleagues, and have rapport with high school age students.
