Today, our network consists of eight elementary schools, nine middle schools, one high school, and KIPP Forward, a comprehensive program to support our students and alumni in choosing and preparing for the college and career paths that fit their goals and sense of purpose. KIPP NYC currently serves more than 9,000 students and over 2,500 alumni, has a staff of more than 1,200 (11% of whom are alumni), and continues to grow. KIPP NYC students beat the national rates for high school graduation (99%), college enrollment (89%), and college graduation (48%).

About the Role
The Managing Director of Talent will work closely with the Chief People Officer to lead talent strategy, professional development, and operations for regional team and school based hiring. We are looking for a forward-thinking leader to drive innovation in talent strategy and operations at scale. This role requires someone who can navigate complexity, foster growth, and build systems that go beyond recruitment to shape the long-term success of our schools.
This leader will play a critical role in designing and implementing best-in-class talent strategy and processes, leveraging technology and data to enhance efficiency, and ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top educators and leaders. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about leading change, developing high-performing teams, and optimizing talent processes to support our mission.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Chief People Officer and lead our Talent Team, which includes recruiters and talent development professionals.
You will frequently collaborate with our regional and school-based staff and leaders.

Additional Details
Location
This role is based in NYC and will require travel to our schools. If you relocate outside of a commutable distance or out of the state of NY, your employment will be subject to review, which may include separation from KIPP NYC. It is important that you notify HR if you move or have plans to relocate.
Compensation
KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $180-195K. Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. Individual salaries are determined through a lens of equity, accounting for years of experience relevant to the role and scope of responsibilities, and are benchmarked against others within the same salary band.
