About Cambridge Health Alliance
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), an award winning, public health system, is a teaching affiliate of both Tufts University of Medicine and Harvard Medical School (HMS). Our health system is comprised of three hospital campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty care practices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s Metro North Region.
CHA offers a community based approach to wellness/prevention and is committed to providing the very best care, filling unmet needs and collaborating with the community to address board and pervasive health issues. CHA cares for people from all backgrounds and has particular strength in caring for patients with economic, linguistic and cultural barriers to care. We are NCQA level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home status at our primary care practices and our work in this area has led to local and national recognition.
CHA is an affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) giving patients streamlined access to coordinated services at one of the best academic medical centers in the country. CHA is also affiliated with Mass General Hospital for Children. At CHA, we offer a myriad of teaching opportunities including both physician assistant and medical students, as well as residents and fellows. We have a number of our own residency programs as well as offer a 1 year program for Harvard Medical Students.
