Job Description: Faculty Physicians & Surgeons of LLUSM (d/b/a Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group) (Loma Linda, CA) seeks Attending Physician, Nephrology to manage patient care and treatment to facilitate healing, specializing in nephrology. Conduct consultations to diagnose illnesses; evaluate kidney diseases to determine treatment; refer patients to surgeons. Perform procedures and provide treatments including but not limited to: point-of-care ultrasound, manual urine microscopy, kidney biopsies, temporary dialysis catheter placement and removal, tunneled dialysis catheter removal. Treat genetic kidney diseases and provide genetic counseling. Managing the transition from pediatric to adult nephrology care. Teach and mentor residents and medical students. Participate in research activities, educational conferences, and other activities critical for providing the highest quality teaching and patient care. Must have MD degree (or foreign equivalent). Must have completed ACGME-approved (3-year) residency in Internal Medicine and 2-year nephrology fellowship. Must have California medical license and must be board certified in internal medicine. Must have experience with all of the following: (1) Point of care ultrasound and manual urine microscopy; (2) Kidney biopsies; (3) Temporary dialysis catheter placement and removal and tunneled dialysis catheter removal; (4) Genetic kidney diseases and genetic counseling; (5) Managing the transition from pediatric to adult nephrology care; and (6) Teaching and supervising residents or medical students. Salary Range: $230,000 – $260,000.
