OAKS LAW FIRM, a well respected personal injury law firm, is excited to welcome a skilled and motivated Legal Case Assistant to its Woodland Hills office. Join our dynamic team where your initiative, reliability, diligence and loyalty will be highly valued.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of recent experience in personal injury law.
• Proficient in PI Case Management software and Microsoft Office; tech-savvy individuals preferred.
• Self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills paired with exceptional attention to detail and organization.
• A proactive, “can-do” attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Fluency in oral and written Spanish is a valuable plus!
Responsibilities:
• Assist with case intake, property damage claims, assisting clients with getting into a rental vehicle, and filing DMV forms like SR-1 and SR-19.
• Help clients schedule initial medical appointments and manage medical/billing records.
• Open claims with Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other lien holders; handle private health insurance claims, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Request traffic collision reports from law enforcement agencies.
• Communicate with clients regarding appointments and relay information to/from attorneys.
• Taking and making calls with insurance companies, medical offices, clients and case/office related calls.
• Support attorneys and staff in obtaining lien reductions and preparing case breakdowns.
• Assist with drafting and formatting letters and provide support for personal injury and auto accident cases.
• Assist with putting together demand letter and file for settlement.
