Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support cases
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Present cases in court and argue on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and options
- Develop strategies to effectively resolve legal disputes
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients' interests
- Proficient in conducting legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and presenting arguments in court
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound legal strategies
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage case files and deadlines
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- California State Bar
