Job Title: Program Director with BCBA Certification

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Program Director with BCBA Certification to oversee and lead our after-school and adult day programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Hawthorne, California. The BCBA certification is central to this role, as it is required to develop individualized behavior intervention plans, provide direct supervision and training to staff, and ensure that all programming is rooted in evidence-based practices. The Program Director will be responsible for ensuring that each participant’s unique needs are addressed through personalized plans and that staff are adequately trained to implement those plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Individualized Plans: Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) for all participants in both the after-school and adult day programs. Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that are tailored to the unique needs and goals of each participant.
- Staff Training & Supervision: Provide ongoing training and professional development for staff, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other program personnel, to ensure they are well-equipped to implement behavior intervention plans effectively. Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery. Collaborate with leadership across social enterprises to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
- Direct Behavior Analysis: Oversee the implementation of evidence-based behavior analysis techniques, including discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and pivotal response treatment (PRT), ensuring these methods are effectively applied across the program.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Supervise the collection, analysis, and interpretation of behavioral data to monitor the progress of participants. Make necessary adjustments to individualized plans based on data trends and ongoing assessments.
- Program Oversight: Ensure that the after-school and adult day programs are operating smoothly and meeting the needs of all participants. Work closely with program managers to ensure that the integration of behavior analysis principles is consistent throughout all activities and programming.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all programs comply with regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and company policies. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and case notes for each participant, and ensure that documentation is in line with HIPAA and other legal requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly assess the quality and effectiveness of interventions, providing recommendations for improvements where necessary. Foster a positive, supportive environment for both participants and staff.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Stay informed of the latest research, trends, and best practices in behavior analysis and developmental disabilities. Participate in continuing education to maintain BCBA certification and remain at the forefront of the field.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Active BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including experience in developing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Proven leadership and program management experience, with a demonstrated ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
- Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques, including DTT, NET, PRT, and functional assessments.
- Ability to provide clear, consistent guidance and feedback to staff to ensure the successful implementation of behavior plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage families, staff, and other professionals effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and manage a busy caseload.
