The Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General is looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as an Intake Coordinator in the Civil Rights Division. The successful candidate will be committed to the mission of the Division, which is to protect and advance the constitutional and statutory civil rights and liberties of residents and visitors to the Commonwealth. The Division works to prevent and remedy discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics in order to ensure equal opportunity and safeguard constitutional rights for all. The Division is particularly committed to serving vulnerable and historically underserved individuals through community-informed, culturally and linguistically appropriate, and data-driven legal advocacy and affirmative legal action. Embedded in the Division are units dedicated to protecting individuals and communities impacted by issues of children’s justice, disability rights, and police accountability.
Primary Duties:The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties to assist the Division in investigating and resolving civil rights violations, including some paralegal duties. Primary responsibilities will include:

Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or other languages is strongly preferred.
Position Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt
Salary: $57,780.00
