Job Description:
• Supervise and Lead Diesel Mechanic Team: Oversee a team of diesel mechanics, ensuring they perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting efficiently and safely.
• Manage Workflow and Scheduling: Assign tasks to mechanics, ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work, and
coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime of vehicles or machinery.
• Ensure Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance and repair operations adhere to industry safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage parts inventory, order necessary components, and ensure that all tools and equipment are in working condition and available for the team.
• Diagnostic Troubleshooting: Assist the team with troubleshooting complex diesel engine issues, providing guidance and expertise in problem-solving.
• Training and Development: Provide ongoing training to mechanics to keep them updated with the latest technology, tools, and best practices in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
• Budget Management: Monitor and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, tools, and parts while maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Quality Control: Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed according to manufacturer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Customer Communication: Communicate with clients or internal departments regarding the progress of repairs, estimated completion times, and any issues that arise during maintenance.
• Document and Report Maintenance Activities: Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and services performed, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Maintain Equipment and Fleet Performance: Develop and implement regular maintenance schedules for vehicles and machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize breakdowns.
• Evaluate and Improve Processes: Continuously assess the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Operational Problems: Address mechanical breakdowns or other operational challenges quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Recruitment and Staffing: Participate in the hiring process to ensure the team is well-equipped with qualified diesel mechanics and technicians.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of satisfaction by providing timely, reliable, and professional diesel repair and maintenance services.
Requirements:
• 6+ years of Diesel Mechanic
• 6+ years of Software Diagnosis
• 3+ years of Customer Service
• 2+ years of Management
• High School Diploma
• Computer Knowledge
• Fluent in Spanish
