We are seeking a skilled, experienced and dedicated Certified Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on heavy line work like engine removal and reinstalling, powertrain systems and electrical component diagnosis' for cars, trucks and RV’s with both gasoline as diesel engines. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing issues and ensuring the safety and performance of our vehicles. Pay will be based off of experience and performance. M-F 8am - 5pm, weekends off!!
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostics on automotive systems, including powertrain and electrical systems.
Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during repair processes.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Assist in welding tasks as needed for vehicle repairs or modifications.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly about repairs and maintenance needs.
Requirements
Proven experience in automotive repair, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, focusing on engine/transmission R&R and diagnosis. Proficiency in diagnosing issues related to diesel engine repair is a plus. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and ability to read schematics. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred but not mandatory.
