JOB DESCRIPTION
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7am – 3:30pm. Occasional overtime.
Melco Steel is seeking engineer interested in a challenging position designing and fabricating innovative ASME pressure vessel process equipment to meet customer’s specific requirements. Duties involve project management while working closely with other engineers and shop personnel throughout the fabrication process.
Desired Candidate will work as a team member, maintain regular attendance and be available for overtime as needed, be detail oriented and able to multi-task and handle disruptions.
WAGES & BENEFITS
• Rate $75,000 - $100,000 / Yearly Salary

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide design calculations, engineering drawings and technical support
• Provide purchasing support and manage material certifications
• Maintain welder qualification records
• Coordinate engineering drawings with the shop leads
• Coordinate engineering and quality control with the ASME Inspector
• Provide customer service
• Maintain program updates on ASME computer design programs
• Help handle outside contractors
• Assist the Quality Control Manager
• Provide estimating support
• Generate ASME Data Reports
• Provide local field support when required
QUALIFICATIONS
• Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree required
• Capable of working in a team environment while maintaining individual responsibility and accomplishment with enthusiasm for quality and yield improvements
• Understanding of the manufacturing business and operations
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency preferred with ACAD and Microsoft Office
• Fundamental engineering logic and common sense required
• 3 years ASME pressure vessel design and fabrication experience preferred
• P.E. License preferred
• I.T knowledge/experience a plus
