Join us, We are looking to grow our team at Building Connections 4Life Supportive Living Services. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, supportive individuals who are passionate about providing care to individuals who require support to strengthen their daily living skills. The ideal candidates for this position must be able to care for our clients with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

We are currently hiring for the following shits:

• Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 6:45 pm and 7:00 pm to 6:45 am
• Friday through Sunday 7:00 am to 6:45 pm and 7:00 pm to 6:45 am.

Responsibilities

• Caregivers are expected to engage with clients through conversation, providing companionship that can enhance the emotional
well-being of those they care for.
• Home Assistance: Light housekeeping tasks: This may involve cleaning common areas, doing laundry, or tidying up living spaces.
• Meal preparation: Caregivers often prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of their clients.
• Medication reminders: Ensuring that clients take their medications on time is crucial for their health management.
• Transportation: Providing transport for clients to appointments, errands, or social activities is often part of the job.
• Personal Services: This includes assisting with toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming—tasks that are essential for maintaining
personal hygiene and dignity.
• Monitoring Goals: Caregivers are responsible for monitoring and recording the progress towards specific goals set with the
consumer (client), which may include health-related objectives or personal development targets.
• Other Duties: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed based on the client’s requirements or organizational needs.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Reliability and Dependability:
A caregiver must be someone who can be counted on consistently to show up for scheduled shifts and fulfill their duties responsibly.

2. Experience in Relevant Fields:
Previous experience in healthcare, hospitality, or home care environments is preferred as it equips caregivers with the necessary skills in managing client needs effectively.

3. Professional Experience:
A minimum of one year working as a caregiver or home health aide is typically preferred to ensure familiarity with caregiving tasks and challenges.

4. Valid Driver’s License:
A valid driver’s license is essential for transportation duties, ensuring caregivers can safely drive clients to various locations.

5. Open Availability:
Flexibility in scheduling is strongly preferred since caregiving often requires availability during evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on client needs.

6. Eligibility to Work in the U.S.:
Caregivers must be legally eligible to work within the United States without restrictions. Ability to speak English clearly (Bilingual in Spanish and/or the primary language of the individual assigned is a plus).

7. Criminal Background Clearance:
A criminal background check is required to ensure the safety and security of clients; this helps maintain trust in the caregiving relationship.
