I am an architect working in Sherman Oaks and looking for a drafter to help with producing architectural drawings as well as general administrative tasks. I mainly work on HCAI/OSHPD (medical) projects but also have some general commercial projects. The position is in office only (no remote work)

The position will include the following (but not limited to)
1) Creating technical drawings from architects' sketches and specifications
2) Using CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details
3) Printing CAD drawing schematics for use by architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.
4) Visiting construction sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
5) Collaborating with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
6) Assisting with writing meeting minutes
7) Excellent problem-solving skills.
8) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9) Perform administrative duties related to the business
10) Performs other duties as assigned.
11) Research the different types of building materials, lighting fixtures and other products
12) Prior experience as an architectural draftsman will be advantageous.
13) Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
14) knowledge of building design, specifications, codes.
15) Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.
16) Strong organizational and time management abilities.
17) Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
18) Ability to user Microsoft office suite (word, excel, outlook)
