Freeberg Industrial Fabrication is seeking an experienced licensed experienced Electrician to join our team.

The ideal candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team to install, maintain, and repair complex integrated electrical systems in commercial products and inbuilt systems.

Licensed Electrician will be responsible for creating and interpreting electrical drawings and must be ablet to read blueprints to build and troubleshoot complex electrical systems and issues built into customer products. All work will be performed in compliance with national, local electrical codes, and to the satisfaction of the customer’s needs complying to all safety standards.

Day to day-to-day:
This position is in Escondido Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, however, the schedule includes flexibility to accommodate business requirements, which may include overtime and weekends when needed to complete customer and company deadlines.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate skills in designing, drawing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in complex integrations. This includes wiring circuits, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and customer requirements.

Install and troubleshoot VFDs as part of advanced electrical system upgrades and retrofits.
Assist in the installation and repair of building automation system (BAS) equipment such as sensors, actuators, and panel components; install/repair mechanical equipment including air handlers, chillers, ducting, and dampers.
Install electrical materials (wire, conduit, etc.).
Analyze, report, and resolve field technical issues.
Identify and resolve issues like malfunctioning equipment, circuit overloads, and wiring problems while maintaining accurate logs of service.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, adapting to additional duties as business needs evolve.
Adhere to company policies and the highest ethical standards to ensure world-class experience for internal customers, clients, and business partners.
Maintain area of work and shop clean and free of debris
Able to obtain training and a license to safely operate overhead cranes (2.5 and/or 5 ton)
Able to obtain training and a license to safely operate forklifts (6000#, and/or 15000#, and/or 25000#)
Safely maintain and use job-required tools in the form of gross and fine manipulative motor movements

Physical Requirements:
This position requires physical stamina and strict adherence to safety protocols. All necessary training and protective equipment will be provided- will work from heights -climbing ladders while carrying a tool bag (approximately 20 lbs.)
Frequently and safely climb, squat, crouch, crawl, kneel, lean, bend, stoop, twist, turn, grasp, work/extending overhead and reach.
Frequently and safely go from standing to walking to sitting for at least 8 hours per day.
Maintain balance and climb safely and unaided ramps, stairs, stools, and ladders up to 16 ft. as necessary.
Frequently and safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Abilities Required
Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, respiratory equipment, steel-toed shoes, and/or other appropriate protective clothing.
Work in an outdoor (non-air conditioned / non-heated) industrial shop environment
Work well with others with strong teamwork skills
Able to read, write, and understand English - communicating effectively to other workers
Competent in basic shop math and able to read and understand part drawing requirements
Clarity of near, far, and peripheral vision (wearing glasses or contacts as necessary to achieve clarity required)
Able to hear and distinguish speech and other non-verbal sounds.

Required Skills and Experience:
(3) years minimum and actual practical working experience as an electrician in the industrial/commercial electrical equipment service industry.
Proficiency in electrical drawing and reading electrical diagrams is essential.
Medium voltage experience preferred.
Must hold a current Electrical Certification or C10 license.
Knowledge of 24 Volt, 48 Volt, 120 Volt, and 480 Volt Electrical Systems.
Knowledge of VFD’s, UPS’s, Generators, BAS’s, & Lighting Systems.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft systems).
Excellent communications skills.
