Interior Illusions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional delivery, handling, and installation of luxury furniture and accessories across residential, commercial, and staging settings. This position requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to product care and quality.
As a key representative of Interior Illusions, you will collaborate with our design, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure flawless installations and maintain the highest standards of product handling and presentation. Occasional overnight stays in the Palm Springs area will be required for multi-day installations.
Key Responsibilities
Furniture Delivery & Installation
• Safely load, transport, and unload furniture and accessories to client locations, showroom floors, and staging properties.
• Assemble and install furniture according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring accuracy and care.
• Properly place and arrange pieces based on floor plans or client specifications.
• Handle all items with extreme care to prevent damage, properly wrapping and securing furniture during transport and installation.
• Regularly drive the company box truck for deliveries between the Palm Springs area and Los Angeles.
• Complete showroom stock deliveries and ensure all products arrive in pristine condition.
• Stay overnight in Palm Springs for multi-day installations when required.
Product Care & Warehouse Organization
• Ensure all furniture is properly wrapped, padded, and secured to prevent damage during transport and storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient staging warehouse, ensuring all items are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.
• Inspect furniture regularly for damages and report any issues promptly.
• Follow best practices for handling high-value and delicate items.
Client Interaction & Service
• Professionally represent Interior Illusions during client deliveries and installations.
• Provide courteous and attentive service, addressing client questions or concerns during installations.
• Collaborate with the sales and design teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Our Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of furniture delivery, installation, or related experience.
• Skills: Strong assembly, installation, and problem-solving skills.
• Product Care: Meticulous attention to detail with wrapping, handling, and protecting furniture to prevent damage.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture pieces (up to 100 lbs.) and stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods.
• Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience driving box trucks.
• Travel: Flexibility for occasional overnight stays in Palm Springs for multi-day installations.
• Professionalism: Punctual, courteous, and client-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Team Player: Able to collaborate effectively with warehouse, sales, and design teams.
The salary range for this position is $19 – $23 hourly, based on experience.
