Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards as well as sandblasting and component preparation. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Duties
• Prepare surfaces for coating by sandblasting, cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary.
• Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings evenly to ensure a consistent finish.
• Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare components for powder coating.
• Monitor the curing process to ensure proper adhesion and quality of the powder coat.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklift equipment as needed for material handling and fabrication tasks.
Qualifications
• Experience in powder coating and sandblasting or similar roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with powder coating auto wheels/rims is a plus.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively in a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous experience in materials handling or fabrication is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Expected hours: 40 hours per week
