The Maintenance Technician / Site Supervisor will be responsible for the daily upkeep, repair, and general oversight of four Ducky’s Car Wash locations on the west side of Jacksonville. This is a boots-on-the-ground role for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, no nights or Sundays. Estimated 5 hours per day, but ultimately based on operational needs.
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to all four locations (within 10 minutes of each other) daily to inspect and maintain equipment and facilities
- Perform routine maintenance on car wash systems, vacuums, plumbing, electrical components, and general infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to pumps, motors, hoses, valves, air compressors, and other mechanical components
- Monitor chemical usage, and ensure all wash functions operate correctly
- Identify and complete minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, or electrical improvements as needed
- Communicate with management on larger issues, repair needs, or parts/equipment purchases
- Ensure each site is clean, safe, and functioning properly before leaving
- Occasionally assist with wash bay cleanouts or other site upkeep as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance, repair, mechanical, or facilities role preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and manage your time across multiple locations
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and perform physically active tasks
- Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and good communication skills
- Previous experience with car wash equipment is a plus, but not required
