Delicatessen Meat and Cheese Slicer/ Sandwich Maker
The Olive Tree Market, a neighborhood market in Ocean Beach with a high -volume delicatessen, is looking for a Deli Meat and Cheese Slicer. This person MUST know how to operate/use a deli slicer and MUST be available to work weekends. Individuals with a positive attitude who enjoy working in a team environment are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
A Deli Slicer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Slicing meats and cheeses for sandwiches.
• Maintains a clean work area at all times; keeps merchandise fresh in compliance with all health code regulations.
• Assisting in other duties, as assigned, including daily maintenance of deli department.
• Team player with a good attitude, who shows up to work on time, and is a respectful and responsible individual
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Must know how to use a deli meat slicer.
• Basic knife skills and basic kitchen equipment.
• Strong ability to work well with people
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and basic math skills
• Spanish, bilingual a plus
