This is a Government Operations Manager II position with the Enterprise System Support Process team of the Child Support Program located in Tallahassee. The position supervises, directly and indirectly, 2 managers and 30 team members and is responsible for the multiple teams in the operations and maintenance of the Program's federally required computer system, CAMS.
You must be an effective communicator and capable of presenting information effectively to management. You must be able to operate successfully in a demanding environment, manage multiple large projects and produce results that support the Program's strategic initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Act in a supervisory capacity for assigned managers and team members by monitoring team activities to ensure compliance with Revenue standards and position performance levels, determine and manage work assignments of teams.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all software project activities and other projects assigned to their areas and ensuring that production requirements are met.
- Works with the business process owners in a customer supplier relationship to effectively manage projects that modify CAMS functionality to meet their business needs while ensuring the overall health and efficiency of CAMS. Works with varying levels of managers, partners, and team members to effectively manage information technology projects. Ensures projects are completed within approved schedule, resources, and scope.
- Works with the other ESSP GOM IIs in a coordinated and collaborative way to ensure the ESSP resources are maximized in terms of efficiency and productivity.
- Understand, adhere, and promote the Child Support Programs Business and Strategic Plans. Participate with other ESSP managers and team members in the management of the Support Request and incident inventory.
- Designated as a "mission essential" position pursuant to the Department of Revenue's Continuity of Operations Plan. Emergency or disaster-related duty includes performing or supporting the Department's mission essential functions, primary business functions or other activities related to emergency or disaster events or incidents.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience managing team members in operational and/or project positions.
- Three or more years of experience managing and implementing software projects including working with software development life cycle processes using project management software applications.
- Three years of experience drafting papers, contributing information, analysis, and proposing options/solutions and making recommendations to management for decisions.
- Three years of experience planning and evaluating program or operations processes, resolving identified productivity and quality concerns, and implementing process improvements.
PREFERENCES: - Experience in managing and implementing large SAP projects.
- Experience in the Child Support Program.
SPECIAL NOTES: - This position is not telework eligible.
- An alternative screening matrix will be used to select which candidates to interview.
- This position includes after hours and on-call responsibilities for CAMS Production or other enterprise system related concerns and projects affecting Child Support Program business.
SALARY: $68,218.92 - $141,240.60.
