Overview
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Research Administration Analyst is part of The Saban Research Institute’s (TSRI) central Research Services Team, primarily responsible for the pre and post award administration of federal, federal pass through, local, state, and foundation grants and subcontracts and consortium agreements. The Analyst will provide administrative support to PIs in the development, submission and review of proposals, and award negotiation. The Analyst will monitor fiscal performance on projects, prepare, review, and process financial transactions, and ensure timely invoicing, financial reporting, and close-out of grants/contracts. The Analyst will be the point of contact for sponsoring agencies and serve as a liaison for the institution. The Analyst will provide action-oriented and expert support to Principal Investigators (PIs) and handle specific grant and audit issues with integrity. A successful candidate will have research administration and/or clinical research experience; knowledge of a variety of funding types; experience working with faculty in academic, research, clinical, or administrative settings; ability to collaborate on complex issues; perform effectively in a deadline driven environment; strong interpersonal skills and astrong service orientation.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: At least 2 years of research administration, legal, or contracting experience in an academic setting. Pulling data, and conduct analysis experience. Experience working with both grants and contracts in a hospital or university setting. Research previous articles and able to develop written findings and review materials to be used in presentations experience preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree required.
Pay Scale Information
$61,360.00-$110,573.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
