PRAISE Behavior Services is seeking professionals who are dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities improve their quality of life. The direct staff will support an individual with autism as a 1:1 throughout the school day in a mainstream classroom at a school setting.
The direct staff is responsible for working on skill deficits and behavior excesses that the child has. The staff must also foster creativity when working with the child in order to motivate them.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide behavior management, modify class assignments as needed, skill acquisition training, fluency instruction, verbal behavior intervention, social skills training, to learners with autism. Instructors will follow through with the appropriate services or tactics as determined by the agency's Program Supervisor.
• Collect data and fill in the program checklist using the accurate and appropriate percentages throughout each session.
Requirements:
• Current TB clearance
• DOJ/FBI clearance
• Be comfortable working in a school environment.
• Have reliable transportation, posses a current CA driver's license and current liability insurance for the vehicle. Also, the willingness to drive and work in communities other than your own. Client assignments take into consideration location of your residence as well as scheduling needs.
• Must be self-motivated, responsible, honest, articulate and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Present a professional demeanor, be well organized, and pay attention to detail.
• Accept, follow, and implement direction from agency representatives.
• Be creative, spontaneous, excited, and animated in your gestures, facial expressions and voice interactions.
• Be comfortable around children.
