We are a well-established, growing office looking for a part-time hygienist with a gentle yet thorough touch and an excitement for oral hygiene and patient education. We are initially looking for someone to fill in for one of our current hygienists while she is on maternity leave for the next 4 months, with potential for long term employment should we prove to be a good fit for each other.

Job Expectations:
• Perform prophies, sealants, and fluoride treatments
• Have a registered Dental Hygienist certification required
• Have experience with digital X-rays, practice management softwares, and OSHA standards for sterilization
• Provide oral hygiene instruction and be able to advise patients on dental products on the market
• Effectively communicate the importance of regular cleanings and certain adjunctive treatments, like scaling and root planing or fluoride
• Demonstrate knowledge in using a variety of hand and ultrasonic scalers
• Administer local anesthesia and perform scaling & root planing procedures
• Ability to assist with treatment planning and X-rays
• Ability to perform intraoral and extraoral head and neck exam to check for abnormalities
• Display fantastic bedside manner, communicate with and educate patients well, and prioritize customer service

Salary:
