The job: Care-giving in a 6 bed facility with 6 elderly residents. Experience a plus, but willing to train special inexperienced candidates who show promise and commitment.
The job is to work in a team of two caregivers to assist 6 elderly people who live in a home together with their activities of daily living. They need help with ADLs like bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, taking meds, toileting etc. We keep a high staff ratio giving flexibility to get things done for our precious elders "the right way." We are a 24 hour, 356 days a year facility. Ample opportunities for hours *if you have a good amount of availability.*

Day shifts work 10 hour shifts with a lead and support care team (2 people), night shift is 12 hours (one person only while clients are mostly asleep. Night shift is a WAKE SHIFT, and residents must be changed/toileted in the night).
*Night shifts are only offered to people that have been with us for at least two months, so you must be available to do the 9am-8pm shift for 60 days before potentially being offered night shifts.
Must have some weekday and weekend availability: we are staffing 365 days a year, so every single weekend, a full staff must be present.

Please do not apply if you want every Sat &; Sun off, or even if you only want to work one Saturday a month or something like that. Our team is fair and very hard working, and everyone wants some weekend time off. Not willing to bring in someone who can't give that.

**MUST HAVE A STRONG BACK as wheelchair transfers and physical lifting is a requirement. Most clients are small: 80lb-90lb, but we still need to know you can do the job without injury to yourself or clients.
We assist our elders with things like bathing, dressing appropriately, going to the bathroom, taking their medication, cooking, and cleaning. Interested job candidates must be friendly, patient, and understanding of Elders limits.
**Must be able to pass a live-scan background check or Home Care registry certified.
Our elders are delicate, and so:
**Flu shots and updated Covid shots are required: Staying up to date on the Covid Vaccination is a requirement, so you will have to get a booster every year. We are serious about vaccination as a requirement for employment, so if you are "Anti-Vaxx", please consider this when applying. Weekly Covid testing is also required, and the facility will provide those tests onsite. Experience a plus, but willing to train special inexperienced candidates who show promise and commitment.
***Strict Masking is mandatory to protect our fragile elders and our essential staff. Please expect and be able to wear an N95, or a KN95 at all times while inside the facility. Facility provides appropriate masks.
**Looking for availability 9am-8pm/ 8:30am-7:30pm including some weekends
