We are looking for a reliable, dedicated driver to join our team!

We are a service-disabled veteran-owned company with LOTS of work to get done. Pay is $24/hour. After working with us successfully for 90 days, you will be eligible for a raise to $25/hour, paid holidays, and our monthly safety bonus program. Benefits eligibility (medical, dental, vision, life) begins at 60 days.

Work is Monday-Friday, with varying start times, between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Average hours per week: 35-40. Route is 189 miles/day; it starts in San Leandro, goes into Modesto and Stockton, and returns to San Leandro. Additional hours may be available depending on business needs. Our high-performing drivers are given opportunities to bid for new or additional jobs/routes to increase experience and hours.

Responsibilities
• Follow all safety and procedure protocol as advised by management
• Load, transport, and unload freight at various locations in a 26' Box Truck with lift-gate
• Scan product to customer specifications
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Meet delivery schedules
• Utilize pallet jack and/or forklift to move freight onto and off of truck
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles driven; retain fuel/toll receipts
• Utilize our fleet software (Samsara) as directed
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Shrink wrap/palletize freight when required
• Maneuver vehicle into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills/Requirements
• Minimum 23 years of age (insurance requirement)
• Minimum 3 years licensed driving experience
• Excellent attendance and punctuality - arriving on time for work every day is critical
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Valid driver license
