Job Title: Assistant Manager

Position Type: Full-time

Reports To: Restaurant General Manager or Owner

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant's dining area, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and managing staff to deliver exceptional service. This role involves coordinating front-of-house activities, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision and Training:
Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs to meet business needs.

Customer Service:
Greet and interact with guests to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure all service standards are consistently met and exceeded.

Operational Efficiency:
Oversee the flow of service and ensure that guests are seated and served in a timely manner.
Manage table assignments and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.

Compliance and Safety:
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Implement and enforce restaurant policies and procedures.

Sales and Marketing:
Assist in executing promotional events and specials.
Monitor sales and guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or training in hospitality management is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant management or supervisory role is preferred.

Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to [specify weight, e.g., 25 pounds].
