JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW:

Bottomless Closet is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to inspire and guide disadvantaged New York City women to enter the workforce and achieve success. Comprehensive services include the selection and provision of high-quality interview attire, 1:1 resume review/preparation and interview coaching, as well as a broad workshop curriculum that promotes professional development, financial management and personal enrichment. We facilitate entrance into the workforce, build core competencies for workplace success, increase self-confidence and self-esteem, and transform women’s vision of their potential. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including women who are on public assistance, formerly incarcerated, single mothers, domestic violence survivors, and women living in shelters.

SUMMARY:

Bottomless Closet is currently recruiting for a Program Manager. This individual will support several critical program efforts as well as serve as the point person for all volunteer management tasks in support of our client services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Volunteer Management

Responsible for new volunteer outreach and recruitment.
On-board new volunteers assessing their experience, skills and areas of strength.
Deliver updated and effective training programs for volunteers (new and current) to keep skills fresh and relevant and to address areas of needs.
Maintain updated and current volunteer data and records within database.
Coordinate volunteer schedules supporting program needs.
Deliver effective on-going communications with volunteer workforce through written, virtual and in-person efforts.

Program Support

Assist Program Director in the management of our corporate partner relationships including the planning of workshops or other client-focused events; corporate volunteer opportunities, etc.
Support planning and delivery of client workshops, attendance, and other related steps.
Identify areas for process streamlining through the introduction of technology solutions or other efficiency initiatives.
Create reports, queries and analysis needed to present data outcomes and metrics.

Other:

Perform program department general administrative support.
Provide support and coverage of functions as required.

SUPERVISION:

The Program Manager reports directly to the Program Director and has oversight over the volunteer workforce.

SCHEDULE:

The Program Manager position is Full Time with a schedule that includes a mix of remote and onsite work; ability to work flexible hours, including periodic evenings and a rare weekend are required; specific hours will be determined based on organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years relevant Program experience.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge, NetCommunity, Volgistics or volunteer scheduling database preferred along with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to work in fast paced and flexible environment.
Strong organizational skills and comfort with measuring and reporting data.
Effective and creative problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communications and public speaking skills; comfort with speaking in a crowd or leading a group.
Creative, curious, fast learner, with special appreciation for human services and nonprofits including commitment to Bottomless Closet’s mission
Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.

This is a hybrid position.

Salary Range 60,000-$70,000.
