Project Manager / Site Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a hard-working Field Supervisor to lead our construction projects. The ideal candidate will manage on-site operations, ensure safety compliance, supervise crews, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in our work.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management:
o Oversee daily construction activities to ensure timely completion while adhering to budget constraints.
o Manage subcontractors and coordinate with different trades to ensure seamless project execution.

• Supervision:
o Supervise construction crews, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
o Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety practices, and maintain quality standards.
o Managing the work schedules and timecards for all field staff.

• Communication:
o Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the main office fostering strong professional relationships.
o Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project status, challenges, and any changes.

• Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor hours, materials used, and equipment rentals.
o Utilize Email, Word, and Excel for documentation purposes.
o Prepare detailed reports on project status and any issues for management review.

• Estimating and Purchasing:
o Read blueprints and perform takeoffs to estimate project costs accurately.
o Purchase necessary materials and supplies, ensuring timely delivery to the job site.

Qualifications

• Experience:
o Proven ability to read blueprints, perform takeoffs, and purchase materials effectively.
o Proficient in web and mobile technologies
o Knowledge of contract terms and pricing.

• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide crews.
o Excellent communication skills, including fluency in Spanish to facilitate effective communication with diverse teams.
o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve issues on-site
o Must have a reliable truck for transportation to job sites.
o Experience with towing systems and the operation of hauling trailers.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and on uneven or challenging terrain.
• The role may require occasional overtime and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
• 1099 status
