The Regional Manager is responsible for conducting safety and compliance inspections for all Lancer client accounts in their assigned territory. The position requires 75-80 % travel. The majority of travel is scheduled in advance, however there may be occasional travel required on demand or short notice, such as a serious loss/accident.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

Conduct an extensive compliance evaluation/audit of all Lancer product lines including but not limited to: passenger transportation accounts, trucking accounts (common carrier, contract carrier, and/or private carrier accounts whose transportation may be incidental to their primary type of business), and car rental operations. Some Regional Managers also cover specialized products such as Nobel, or other designated specialties.
Write a comprehensive report describing the visit and make recommendations to improve the company's operation. This report must be submitted within the department's established timeframe.
Conduct follow-up assessments of accounts based on a plan established after the visit report is complete and approved.
Manage complex scheduling with clients, underwriters and the home office staff to meet the time demands of the visit assignments and reporting requirements.
Establish a working relationship with all underwriters in all product lines and with the Claims offices to facilitate and complete the work assignment.
Plan and conduct meetings/seminars for policyholders at their locations, online meetings, and at Lancer/industry meetings and conventions, as necessary.
Write/edit safety articles as necessary.
Manage all communication using a laptop computer, cell phone, e-mail, Internet, etc.
The Regional Manager is responsible for responding to visit requests assigned to them and to identify and communicate potential accounts requiring visits to the underwriter.
The Regional Manager is responsible for understanding the safety and compliance needs in their territory and interact with all Lancer staff as necessary to ensure the compliance needs are being met in their territory.
The Regional Manager may be issued a Lancer owned vehicle for their business use and must comply with all corporate policies regarding the use and maintenance of the vehicle. Airline travel and other forms of travel may be required to cover the duties of a Regional Manager.

Experience:

High School diploma is required, some college preferred.
Prior Loss Control Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Proficient in all standard Microsoft Office products including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; in addition, be proficient in the use of virtual meeting software, and use of the Lancer web site and web reporting system.
Proficient in all Federal Motor Carrier (US DOT) regulations and applicability of such. Be aware of applicable OSHA regulations.
