We have an immediate full-time opening for a Collector in our Finance Department at our corporate office in Van Nuys, CA. This position offers 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available for an interview at their earliest convenience.

Job Details:

Dealing with a ledger of approx. 1000 client accounts.
Daily collection efforts on past-due receivables
Chasing debt by telephone and email to reduce account delinquency and % overdue debt
Ability to handle disputed accounts and negotiate to bring payments in line with credit terms
Experience in working on monthly collection targets and deadlines
Maintains accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records
Issue clients with copies of invoices, statements as well as reminder letters when necessary
Collaborate with third-party collection agencies to report overdue accounts to the three major credit bureaus.
Take credit card payments
Prepare daily bank deposits
Post cash receipts
Provide Management with full details of accounts during ledger reviews.
Other ad-hoc duties relating to cash collections
Required Skills and Experience:

· 1 - 2 years of credit collection and accounts receivable experience is essential

· Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

· Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skills by passing a pre-employment Excel assessment

· Self-motivated, confident, and a team player

· Ability to work under pressure

· An ambition to learn

· Good problem-solving skills Organized and detailed oriented

· Prior knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.

· Fluent in Spanish is required for this position

Compensation: $20.00/ hour + commission, based on experience

Pay Rate: $20.00/ hour + quarterly bonuses
