EarthWise Pet Nutrition Center & Wellness Spa is looking to add to our grooming staff. This position is available for part or full time and requires dedicating at least part of their schedule in our state of the art Hanvey Mobile Grooming Van. Time in our salon is also available. Our groomers are paid on a 50% commission rate. Mobile grooming rates are $95/hour. Our store salon rates are based on the size, cut, and temperament of the dog. Tips are yours. We are a family owned and operated business that values providing quality products and services. We also value our staff and place great importance on providing a safe and comfortable work place. Our groomers have final say on the dogs they will groom and will never be pressured to groom an animal they do not feel safe doing so.

We value continued education and believe your best work is yet to come. We take our groomers to the Tacoma Grooming Show every year and cover all expenses associated with educational classes, hotels, Per Diem, and transportation. We support continued education with online and video programs throughout the year. Grooming is not only holistic but an art form and we encourage you to grow and show what they can do. Everything wrong with corporate grooming we reject as the care and needs of the animal comes first, ALWAYS. Our goal is for every animal to leave and return to our salon happy.

Benefits - Part time employees are offered to join our Simple IRA program with 3% matching. Sick leave and four hours paid for the pay period your birthday falls into. Full time employees are offered assistance with health care, free life insurance, sick pay, paid time off, up to seven paid holidays, and eight hours paid for your birthday. We contribute to sharpening cost for all groomers regardless of part time / full time. Store discounts for your own pets needs.

We recognize mobile groomer requires a greater confidence and skill set. Grooming alone in the van requires a greater amount of experience. While we have grown groomers internally before in this instance we are looking for that groomer who can come in and be strong right away. With that comes greater benefits in income with 50% commission on $95/hr. Tips are typically much higher.
