Job Description: Prodigy is seeking a passionate Product Engineer (Mechanical Design Engineer) to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the design and development of new products from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have a background in product development and engineering. The Product Engineer (ME) performs design and analysis work that involves conventional engineering practice, which requires independently evaluating, selecting, and modifying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. This position possesses a broad engineering knowledge thorough experience in all areas of design, interacts with clients on a consultative basis, and may generate additional client business.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop new products from concept to production.
Builds models and prototypes of the product, tests the design, makes comparisons with similar designs, and produces specifications for products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets customer needs and requirements.
Flexibility to work on a variety of projects with various levels of difficulty.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Associate Product Engineers and co-ops.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-7 years of experience in product engineering or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in developing Class II/III medical devices.
Knowledge of ISO 13485.
