Position Summary

Under limited supervision this position is responsible for leading invididual product development projects to support the growth of any segement within Distribution hardware, Pipeline connectors and standard product line.

LOCATION
• Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL
• Achieve development project requirements including timelines, cost, quality, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-sourcing, and other objectives.
• Design, test and evaluate concept designs using engineering principles and techniques
• Own the projects assigned and provide guidance to less experienced engineer as needed
• Write and/or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations and sourcing.
• Interface with customers and other project managers (both internal & external) and provide engineering status and progress reports.
• Prepare technical procedures (i.e. factory acceptance test, Qualification testing procedures, etc.) and technical specifications (Functional Design spec, FMECA ,datasheet etc)
• Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API and ANSI), contract requirements and related specifications.
• Ensure all designs are of compatible materials and components taking into consideration manufacturing requirements.
• Perform design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers.
• Work well within a team and individually.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Subsea Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
• Minimum of 5 years working knowledge of Solidworks or AutoCad and Enovia or similar Product Life Management (PLM) system.
• Minimum of 5 years applying Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, hydraulics and pressure vessels.
• Minimum 3 years experience with product development life cycle.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in subsea engineering related. (Subsea systems, subsea tooling or Subsea interventation).

DESIRED
• An MSc in engineering or charter engineering status.
• Experience with FEED study and ability to create the Engineering concept .

• Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
