The Doe Fund is a leading New York City non-profit organization that operates the enormously visible Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program, whose participants clean over 110 miles of streets and sidewalks every day. With a $65 million budget, 450+ staff members and 46,000 individual donors, The Doe Fund is nationally acclaimed as a work-based model for solving homelessness and criminal recidivism. We empower people to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency, substance abuse, and incarceration through innovative work and housing programs.

In alignment with its mission, The Doe Fund also operates over 500 units of affordable and supportive housing, with over 700 additional units in the pipeline to become operational over the next 2 years. The successful candidate will have experience managing supportive housing programs, including strong clinical skills and knowledge of New York City and State funding sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Vice President of Supportive Housing with oversight of supportive housing programs
Ensure compliance with funding sources including HASA, DOHMH, HRA, HPD, ESSHI and DHS
Provide regular supervision to program directors and clinical staff
Evaluate programmatic needs and service delivery within the supportive housing programs and develop enhancements and services as they relate to consumers’ recovery and self sufficiency
Conduct internal audits and quality assurance checks to ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of all required documentation
Monitor unit vacancies within the supportive housing programs and work with the appropriate departments on filling them in a timely manner
Participate in hiring, supervision, and evaluation of clinical and management staff
Review and complete various reports
Participate in case conferences and conflict resolution meetings to address and resolve consumer and/or staff conflicts as needed
Identify, evaluate, and establish service linkages with community-based providers
Serve as the backup to the Vice President of Supportive Housing
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a relevant field
At least 7 years of experience supervising staff, including program directors
Experience in managing supportive housing programs for special population
Experience with harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques
Strong leadership skills, including outstanding organizational and time management skills
Sensitivity to community issues and needs
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Strong ethical standards, confidentiality and personal integrity
Computer proficiency (i.e., email, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
