Family Law Paralegal Needed for Boutique West Los Angeles Law Firm

We are a boutique law firm located in West Los Angeles that is looking for a highly motivated paralegal to join our firm.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional work experience in family law, or has very strong writing skills and is highly motivated to learn about and practice family law. Family law litigation requires excellent time management, organization skills, multitasking ability, and self-motivation. Applicants should be computer savvy, and very comfortable with Microsoft Word and working with Adobe PDF files.

Duties

The duties for the position will include: meeting with clients to prepare initial filings, letter drafting, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, case management, legal research and memo drafting, preparation of requests for orders and other pleadings, preparation of discovery requests and responses, preparation of subpoenas, assistance with depositions, review of evidence, assistance with trial preparation, preparation of judgments, electronic filing, file management and working together with a team of fellow staff and attorneys.
