Requirements

Manage the QC laboratory in support of all QC testing activities from Receiving/Incoming raw materials to finished goods testing for Identifications, purity assay, Impurity and Microbial testing and C of A release.
Manage the sampling of raw materials, in-process, bulk products, and finished products and finished products for the testing.
Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring overall compliance to SOP's and ensure that all QC personnel are fully trained.
Ensuring all testing are prioritized based on the business needs and shifts are adequately staffed.
Reviewing all test results generated by internal/external quality control Laboratories and ensure overall compliance.
Coordinate's activities of Raw Material and Finished Product testing, monitoring, and over all TAT of all testing.
Coordinate's activities associated with specification development, product label specifications. Coordinates with
Manufacturing and Packaging for production schedule, material and finished product testing.
Proficient in out of specification investigations, non-conformance investigations and CAPA investigations and writing reports.
Develop, improve, and implement SOPs / QPs for various quality control operational procedures including training, trending, method execution, investigations, and laboratory processes.
Creates and revises raw material, component and finished product specification forms and worksheets.
Provide technical guidance to QC and serves as subject matter expert in cross functional, cross departmental work teams
Performs other duties inherent of the position, and additional duties that may be assigned by the Quality Director
Proficient in execution of stability programs.
Proficient in Method development, Validation/Verification of analytical test method per USP and EP.
Hands on experience with operation and troubleshooting of Laboratory instruments
Proficient in eQMS.
Manage and conducting all laboratory related OOS investigations, Deviations, Non-Conformance (NCR), Change Control, and CAPA's for the Raw Materials, Finished products, and Stability samples.
Participate in handling all of the customer complaaints and responses as it is related to quality.
Responsible for making recommendations and decisions on all Non-Conformaces, deviations and OOS and determination of product rejection and disposition.
Manage and communicate quality metrics and Quality Performance Indicators effectively across the organization.
Manage the qualifications and evaluations of all contract labs and contract manufacturers.
Participate in all quality audits and technical tours.
Lead in planning and validation of all Laboratory equipments.
Manage QC assigned budget for third party testing, equipment, and supplies
Knowledge and experience in food safety policies and standards within a manufacturing unit, such as maintaining FSP documentation, HAACP, preventive controls and training.
Coordinates with other members of the Quality Assurance department regarding tracking and trending of non-conformances, deviations, etc
Perform data review, trending analyses and prepare protocols and report to support all areas of laboratory operations
Observes and follows company guidelines, SOPs, policies, procedures, and FDA regulations
Coach and counsel team members to develop their skill sets and create an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation
Maintain and communicate performance metrics for the team, setting and maintaining high expectations for team performance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Bachelor degree (B.A./B.S) and two to three year's related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Dietary Supplement industry.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP's, GMP's, safety rules and operating maintenance instructions. Able to write routine reports and communicate effectively. Able to speak successfully and train before groups of employees within the organization.
Ability to apply concepts such as statistical analysis, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
