Fast-growing plumbing company is seeking a sales technician. As a sales technician you will be responsible for the proper diagnosis of your customer's plumbing issues; full communication throughout the service call and project with office / install personnel; creating options to empower and educate homeowners to make the best decision for their home.
You take great pride in successfully running service calls as thoroughly as possible, while maintaining great relationships with our customers and representing our company well and ensuring our customers with a premium experience.
This position includes a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm, with overtime and weekends as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of residential and / or commercial plumbing concepts, including: water, drain, gas, water heater, etc.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Run service calls on a day-to-day basis
• Arrive to work / customers homes on time and ready to work
• Successfully diagnose a wide range of plumbing issues
• Communicate appropriately with office staff, install team, and customers
• Build a positive rapport with customers
• Keep customer engaged throughout service call
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures
• Maintain customer satisfaction and company reputation
• Hit revenue, close rate, and customer satisfaction goals
• Add to a stellar company culture
• Manage time, materials, and company resources
• Take part in technician and sales training
• Works independently with little supervision
• Reports primarily to the service manager
• Reads and interprets sketches, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Demonstrates knowledge of plumbing repair and installation using standard tools, machinery, and equipment
• Demonstrates writing skills with a focus on technical accuracy and clarity
• Fully equipped company van with parts, equipment, & gas card
• Must maintain a clean van, report any damage, and inform install or office manager of any necessary maintenance
Skills / Qualifications
• 2+ years of previous plumbing experience
• Profound knowledge of all plumbing installations
• Able to assist in evaluating assigned install team personnel on job performance and provide field coaching as necessary
• Follows and demonstrates company policies with team members
• Helps maintain project efficiency from start to finish
• Effectively demonstrates communication skills with customers, install team members, dispatch, and management
• Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
• Occasionally required to ascend / descend ladders and balance
• Frequent standing, squatting, sitting for extended periods of time
• Occasionally required to lift and / or move objects up to 60 lbs
• Work is performed in residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof, and in confined areas)
• Pass a drug a background check
• Sales experience a plus
• Own basic plumbing tools
