Overview

This position is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Responsibilities

As a Physician (Orthopedic Surgery) your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur to individuals presented for care.
Manage extremely difficult outpatient, inpatient and operative orthopedic cases and make expert recommendations to the orthopedic surgeons.
Provide education and training to technicians, physicians, physician assistants, and therapists.
Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers.
Responsible for all administrative activities normally associated with patient care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

US Citizen

Board certified

Required to be a graduate of a medical school approved by the Council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Hospital Association or completed a Fifth Pathway Program.

Completed an applicable internship and residency in an accredited U.S. Medical Specialty Training Program.

Required to be Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified; certification must be maintained at all times.

Must possess a current valid, full and unrestricted license in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
