What You Will Do We are looking to fill multiple technology summer internships within DE&ET organization. Our technology teams operate in different office locations. By applying to this Software Engineering Internship position, you will be considered for opportunities across multiple teams and projects which are based in any of the following locations:
We are seeking students for a paid, 12-week summer internship program designed to provide juniors with the opportunity to apply their technical skills to real-world projects with industry leaders in Technology. Our Disney Tech Internship program is dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities for students through professional development, mentorship, networking opportunities, and career placement assistance. You will be considered for technology positions based on your skills, interests, and geographic preferences.
- You'd be making a significant impact on some of the most successful brands in the media and entertainment business by participating in challenging projects, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of an agile team, you'll work alongside other talented technologists who share your passion!
- Interns also have the opportunity to partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to design, build and maintain ease for use data structures to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications & Skills - Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structure, algorithms, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in one and/or more of the following programming languages (Java, Python, C++) & REST APIs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Node, and React
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Process-driven and very detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
- At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year preferred
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: - Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information - Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2025 through August/September 2025
- Fully available from Monday - Friday, for the duration of the 12 week internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank/Glendale/Santa Monica, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in Santa Monica/Glendale/Burbank, CA is $40 per hour.
