We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in law enforcement or military service, demonstrating exceptional skills in surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
Utilize CCTV and other surveillance equipment to observe and report suspicious activities.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Conduct thorough inspections of facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid when required.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure a coordinated response to incidents.
Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in loss prevention or security roles; military or law enforcement background preferred.
Strong understanding of surveillance systems including CCTV operations.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
Must possess a valid armed security license as per state regulations.
Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
