Working under the supervision of qualified electricians, an apprentice learns the trade through hands-on experience. This role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in ground up apartment buildings.
Running conduit and wiring
Installing electrical fixtures, outlets, and panels
Performing basic troubleshooting and testing of electrical systems
Adhering to safety regulations and electrical codes (NEC)
Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
Participating in classroom learning to gain theoretical knowledge and understanding of electrical principles
Maintaining tools and equipment
Assisting with other related tasks as assigned.
Apprentices are expected to progress in their skills and knowledge over time, working towards becoming fully qualified electricians.
