The Business Intelligence Developer is dedicated to designing and implementing analytics, reports, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making across the Credit Union. Additionally, this position includes reviewing existing reporting structures, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and providing management with clear, actionable results.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
- Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
- Work cooperatively with others as part of a formal or informal team to accomplish department and Credit Union goals.
- Provides excellent service by using a positive and professional tone to assist callers and team members accurately, thoroughly, and as efficiently as possible while maintaining consistent and friendly service.
- Uses organizational tools and techniques to complete tasks on time and successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Service- Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports to meet business requirements.
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and transformation.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources, including websites, APIs, files, and other systems.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to support data-driven decision-making.
- Perform data analysis to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security.
- Manage and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues related to data integration, queries, and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define requirements for reporting and analytics.
- Design and implement database schemas and architecture to support scalable data solutions.
- Use Python for data processing, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Conduct data validation and ensure the accuracy of reports and analytics solutions.
- Provide technical support and training for end-users of BI tools and solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics.
- Document Business Intelligence (BI) processes, data workflows, and system configurations for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Analyze existing BI systems and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability.
- Develop KPIs and performance metrics for measuring business success.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment of BI tools and databases.
- Reviews existing service-level standards and measures the impact of service against expectations.
- Directs project activities, initiates analysis, and provides solutions for problems within scope of responsibility.

- Maintains working knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Completes all other duties as assigned by supervisor/leadership as necessary to achieve the goals of the Credit Union and the department.
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:In-depth knowledge of programming concepts, including:
- Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL: Ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services): Designing, developing, and maintaining professional-grade reports.
- Data Visualization Expertise: Creating interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or similar tools.
- Data Integration and ETL Skills: Experience with ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, including databases, websites, APIs, and different file formats.
- Python Programming: For data analysis, process automation, and advanced analytics tasks.
- Database Design and Architecture: Designing efficient and scalable database schemas to support business needs.
- Data Governance Knowledge: Understanding of data quality, security, and compliance best practices.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues in data systems, reports, and workflows.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong ability to work with stakeholders to gather requirements, explain insights, and align technical solutions with business objectives.

The pay range for this position is listed below. Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity.
