Overview:
Nexus Commercial Cleaning is seeking a dedicated and reliable custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial or janitorial work, preferably in a school or similar setting, and will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Monday -Friday 8am-4:30
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and other school facilities.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as needed.
• Clean and maintain windows, doors, and surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as required.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs, such as broken equipment or safety hazards.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for school events and activities.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
Qualifications:
• Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work, especially in schools or similar environments, is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
