Job Overview:
Our client is searching for a senior systems engineer with extensive security experience to join its Platform Engineering team. This is a hands-on technical role. You willbe part of a team that designs and maintains the client’s global network, operating systems, security policy and infrastructure, and core network services across their datacenters, cloud services, and global offices. You willwork to improve the security framework of a fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure environment.
This team supports investment activity and technology development across the company.
You will design and drive the implementation of their Linux authentication and security services. You will also be responsible forensuring the integration and support of new Linux OS distributions in a complex infrastructure environment.
Requirements for this role:
- Prefer 15 years+ of comparable work experience.
- A degree in computer science (or another technical discipline).
- An in-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and associated configuration management tools is required.
- Previous experience contributing to the design and end-to-end implementation of performant, reliable, and secure authentication and security services, in particular, Kerberos, X.509 public key infrastructure (PKI), and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and experience with diagnostic/tracing tools at both the host and network level are required.
- Development experience in Python.
- Experience with Rust, Java, C, Go, and C# is preferred.
- Experience maintaining infrastructure related to DNS and DHCP is preferred, as is a working knowledge of network protocols, databases, large-scale storage, and Windows/Linux interoperation.
