Torrance Bikes is a locally-owned, customer-focused bicycle store dedicated to providing state-of-the-art bikes and excellent service. We are expanding with a new showroom and looking for passionate Bicycle Mechanics and Electric Bike Technicians to join our team!
We specialize in repairs of all types of bicycles, with a special focus on cutting-edge electric bikes. At Torrance Bikes, we believe in customer satisfaction, leadership, and employee growth. Responsibilities:
• Be a Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to provide excellent customer service and ensure smooth operations.
• Repair & Maintain Bicycles: Work on bicycles of all types, including electric bikes (e-bikes).
• Electric Bike Specialist: Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems in e-bikes, including batteries, motors, and controllers.
• Assembly: Assemble new bicycles for customers, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Wheel Building: Build and repair custom wheels for bikes.
• Community Engagement: Participate in outreach programs and promote cycling within the local community.
• Training: Attend specialized training sessions provided by Torrance Bikes (during working hours or weekends) to stay updated with the latest e-bike technologies.
• Manage Work Orders & Inventory: Create work orders for bike services, track parts inventory, and keep accurate records.
• Customer Support: Assist customers with technical questions and offer solutions for repairs or upgrades.
• Mentoring: Assist and train junior staff in bicycle repair and service techniques.
• Off-Site Support: Provide technical support for bicycle events as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience in Bicycle Repair: Hands-on experience working as a bicycle mechanic. E-bike experience is a plus!
• Strong Work Ethic: Good time management, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with managers and team members.
• Team-Oriented: Ability to work as part of a collaborative team, with a passion for customer satisfaction.
• E-Bike Knowledge: Familiarity with electric bike systems, including troubleshooting electrical components (battery management, motor, etc.).
• Flexibility: Ability to work weekends and attend training sessions to keep up with industry developments.
• Passion for Cycling: Enthusiasm for bicycles and e-bikes, with a dedication to making cycling easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
