About the role
TheCommunity Developer is responsible for representing RetireMed at events in the community by cultivating positive partnerships with local companies, community groups, and agencies through hosting informational events or attending regional college, job fairs and business forums.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for following all CMS and other regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Assist in the development of relationships with community groups, officials, physician organizations, associations, etc. that will turn into long term opportunities/partnerships.
- Conduct community-based presentations.
- Assist in educating prospective clients on RetireMed’ s products and services.
- Assist in meeting annual sales goals to align with company’s growth goals through lead generation.
- Assist in developing and presenting live and on-demand webinars.
- Cultivate and maintain amicable relationships with designated accounts or contacts.
- Ability and willingness to travel for networking events, college fairs, health fairs, trade shows, demonstrations and client meetings as needed.
- Strategically navigate through organizations to reach decision makers to create new partnerships.
- Document activities promptly and completely within 24 hours in the CRM system.
- Responsible for understanding and practicing appropriate safety procedures.
- All employees who work in the department support the One Team One Goal strategic focus, this means you may have to occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of your job.
Qualifications

- Experience in sales, group health insurance, compliance and regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ancillary plans, products and services.
- Ability to work independently and develop partnerships within our business communities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 5 + years of proven success in a B2C sales capacity.
- Required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence, a clean driving record and the required bodily injury liability coverage as well as property damage liability coverage.
- Proven ability and track record to meet and exceed targets.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude and team player who embraces change
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel ~50% in defined territory
