Job SummaryThe Manager, Data Center Program Management is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and ensuring the efficient execution of data center programs with a strong focus on safety, security, and compliance. Leads the Data Center Project Management team to drive initiatives, implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance program delivery and operational resilience. This role combines both people and program management expertise, data-driven decision-making, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills to manage complex technical projects while upholding the highest standard of operational integrity and regulatory adherence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Manage the lifecycle of multiple data center programs, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and compliance requirements.
- Develop detailed roadmaps and frameworks to align program initiatives with business priorities, safety protocols, and security standards.
- Act as the central point for program and project updates, providing actionable insights to leadership regarding progress, risks, and compliance status.
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety and security protocols and strategies to proactively identify risks, to protect all data, including personnel, infrastructure, operational, safety, and security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure all contractors, vendors, and employees adhere to OVHcloud safety and security policies during program execution. Drive a culture of safety and security awareness through regular training, communication, and updates on best practices.
- Ensure data center operations comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and certifications, including ISO, GDPR, and other industry-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to document adherence to regulatory requirements and manage audits effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving compliance standards and integrate them into operational policies.
- Develop analytics and monitoring tools to track program performance and present dashboards, visual reports, and executive summaries to highlight program progress, risks, and adherence to safety, security, and compliance standards.
- Use predictive analytics to anticipate and address potential safety or compliance challenges.
- Optimize data center operations to ensure uptime, reliability, and efficiency while maintaining rigorous safety and security measures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure operational strategies align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and external regulators to align program objectives with safety and compliance priorities.
- Deliver clear, concise updates to stakeholders on program progress, safety, security, and compliance status.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on safety, security, and compliance matters, offering actionable recommendations based on data insights.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team skills and career development.
- Drive team engagement and motivation through clear communication of goals and expectations.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Program Management, Computer Science, or related field (master's preferred). Equivalent and relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 8+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on data center or IT operations.
- 3+ years of experience leading/overseeing project manager(s).
- Expertise in safety and security protocols, compliance requirements, and risk management in data center environments.
- Familiarity with industry standards and certifications, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and OSHA.
- Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or relevant safety/security certifications (e.g., CISSP, NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
