Job Description:The Role: The VP of Global Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the manufacturing and supply chain process. This position plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring product quality, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing performance. Reporting to the COO, this position sits on the executive leadership team and demonstrates highly effective communication skills when presenting to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
What you'll do: Primary Responsibilities:
Global Supply Chain Strategic Planning and Execution - Develops and implements strategic plans for global manufacturing operations of devices and consumables product lines
- Leads global contract manufacturing strategy and implementation, setting the organization up to scale globally while optimizing operations functions, including order fulfilment, supply chain, inventory management, and demand planning
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define and implement long-term manufacturing objectives, building capacity to add product lines and enable growth
NPL (New Product Launch) Leadership: Lead the execution of NPL initiatives within the operations and supply chain functions. Partner with the Marketing consumables team to define and align on timelines, product specifications, and expectations to ensure successful product launches and market introductions.
Vendor & Supplier Management: Manage and cultivate relationships with third-party suppliers, consultants, and external vendors to ensure alignment with business needs and operational goals. Oversee day-to-day interactions and ensure long-term, strategic partnerships are effective and productive.
Operational Excellence - Drives continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, enhance operating efficiencies, improve gross margin, and increase overall productivity
- Leads global ERP systems implementation to enable scale, accurate reporting, and KPI monitoring
- Implements best practices across all manufacturing processes (in sourced and out sourced), quality control, and supply chain management
- Partners closely with Product Development, Sales, Education, Marketing, Finance, and the US and Global Teams to ensure operating excellence
Team Leadership - Builds, coaches, and develops a highly efficient team of operations professionals
- Builds a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the supply chain organization
Quality Assurance and Regulatory - Working closely with head of Quality, executes robust quality assurance and regulatory programs to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
- Collaborates with quality control teams to identify and resolve issues impacting product quality
S&OP - Develops and implements S&OP strategies for capacity planning, ensuring the manufacturing facilities are equipped to meet current and future production demands
- Optimizes resource utilization, including equipment, materials, and labor
Supply Chain Collaboration and Inventory Management - Collaborates with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize material sourcing and ensure timely availability and management of resources
- Provides effective and efficient inventory planning and management capabilities
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
Consumables Expertise: Strong understanding of the consumables lifecycle, including sourcing, production, delivery, quality, and regulatory requirements. Experience in managing large-scale consumables operations in a highly regulated environment.
NPL & Product Launch Experience: Strong experience in leading NPL initiatives, especially in collaboration with marketing, product development, and other functional teams. Ability to deliver on product launch expectations and timelines.
- Vendor & Supplier Management:
Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring effective partnerships and operational success.
EHS Compliance and Safety - Ensures manufacturing operations comply with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Implements and monitors safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all employees
Financial Management - Develops and manages budgets for manufacturing operations, ensuring cost effectiveness and financial sustainability
- Partners with Finance to develop annual budgets to manage and continuously improve costs
- Reviews site performance to ensure costs are aligned to budget expectations
- Sets annual CAPEX budgets and conducts periodic reviews to ensure money is spent according to plans and delivers on committed financial goals
- Analyse financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
What you need to know: Experience/Skills/Education:
Required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven global experience in a senior leadership role within manufacturing operations and supply chain
- Experience developing and leading global contract manufacturing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality and regulatory, inventory management, and supply chain operations with a regulated offering
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire cross-functional teams.
Desired:
- Med device, beauty or aesthetics industry experience
- An agile, low ego, high EQ, high impact, high collaboration leadership style with a strong track record in leading a large team in a dynamic work environment
- Experience with implementing and managing lean manufacturing principles
(Pay Rate Range: $200,000 - $245,000)
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of BeautyHealth's total rewards package for our employees.
