A market leading chemical services company for many industries including metal manufacturing, electronics, food and beverage, personal care and industrial water treatment is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join their team in Arleta.
Summary: As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be supporting the General Manager and Regulatory Compliance Manager, ensuring company remains in compliance with all applicable related accreditations standards – ISO 9001:2015, ACD RD (Responsible Distribution) and applicable federal, state, DEA, DTSC, DOJ, DOT, CHP regulations and permit and safety related requirements. Ensure all Quality Assurance tasks are well organized and completed in a timely manner as determined by management. Support the General Manager and Regulatory Compliance Manager to establish and improve company procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
• In conjunction with the General Manager and Regulatory Compliance Manager, create, update and maintain all sections of manuals, forms, work instructions, S.O.P.’s and policies as outlined in the Quality and EH&S management systems.
• Authorize the use of all procedures and work instructions, ensure new procedures, policies and work instructions are validated, verified, approved by Executive Management, trained and implemented.
• Documenting, verifying, and maintaining all quality logs and other records daily as outlined in the Quality and EH&S management systems.
• Conducts independent periodic unannounced or scheduled audits and generates synopsis of findings and any action items required for corrective/preventative actions. Documents results from inspections/audits and prepares summary reports for upper level management review.
• Assists in Laboratory quality assurance program and audits.
• Make recommendations for process improvements in all aspects of the operation.
• Organizes and facilitates quality assurance meetings to resolve any process errors or issues associated with quality, accuracy, policy, nonconformance, and risks (near misses).
• Document all complaints, problems, corrective actions, preventive actions, internally and externally regarding all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with the Quality and EH&S management systems.
Qualifications:
• College Degree in closely related discipline preferred; 1-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Competency / knowledge of ISO processes preferred.
• Easily learn or have a basic knowledge of California and Federal regulations covering hazardous waste, air pollution, non-Title 5, water discharge, hazardous materials management and Department of Transportation regulations, and any regulations pertaining to the company operations.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
