Position Overview: As a Crematory/Hydrolysis Operator, you will work hands-on in our cremation facility and assist with administrative and logistical duties. This full-time role may start with reduced hours for training, evolving into a permanent position. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about contributing to an impactful industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain crematory equipment while adhering to compliance regulations.
- Prepare human remains for water and flame cremation following state and federal guidelines.
- Transport decedents and deliver cremated remains to families, as well as pick up death certificates.
- Assist families with sensitivity and professionalism through in-person, phone, and email communications.
- Perform administrative duties including paperwork completion, office tasks, and arranging memorial services.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure safe handling of remains.
- Participate in marketing, accounts receivable, and other business support activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with a "can-do" attitude and enthusiasm for the environment and helping people.
- Punctual with excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency with office software and basic administrative tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs and work in warm weather conditions.
- Previous funeral industry experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
