We are seeking a legal assistant/legal secretary who is able to exercise discretion and good judgement, and work in a timely and organized manner.
Basic Duties Include:
Assisting partner with emails, priorities and scheduling client calls.
Filling documents in state and federal courts around the country.
Keeping track of cases and maintaining case status reports.
Running conflict checks and ensuring all new parties added to matters are timely conflict-checked.
Coordinating calls and appointments.
Calendaring.
Possible Additional Duties:
Assisting with electronic discovery.
Assisting with litigation exhibits, forms and motions, e.g. creating shells.
Basic legal research.
PACER searches.
Basic investigations/public record searches.
